A podcast exploring humanity, conflict and change, through music

Music can be a powerful bridge for change.

The Music Bridge offers a space for stimulating, in-depth conversations with songwriters, singers, pop stars, actors, comedians and artists about the ways music interacts with issues in the real world – and how events in the world impact music. The focus is not on release cycles or promotion, but on meaning, context and lived experience.

Hosted by trusted and authoritative music journalist, Neil McCormick, with rare access to artists, and created with top production values across audio and video, the podcast is designed to bring depth and perspective – delivering artist-led storytelling that is rarely heard anywhere else.

Through philosophy, anecdotes, history, humour, lively discussion and debate, we explore the impact of songs on creators and listeners, incorporating first-hand human stories that connect music to conflict, peace, identity and wider social, political and personal change.

Why this podcast, why now?

The opportunity

Podcasting is a fast-growing global medium. If done well, it’s an efficient, low risk way to build audience, brand trust, and IP – which then feeds the wider Bridge ecosystem.

Most music podcasts are promo-led artist interviews or focus on nostalgia, fandom, industry commentary or broad conversation.

The gap

There is no premium, deep and reflective story-led podcast consistently exploring music as a force in conflict, identity, and social change, led by trusted voices with deep artist access.

Who is underserved

  • Culturally engaged music listeners.
  • Artists and creatives seeking depth, not promotion.
  • Brands and partners seeking meaningful, values-led content.
  • Audiences fatigued by shallow, algorithm-driven media.

Why now

  • Audio and video podcasting has matured into a primary media channel.
  • Artists are more willing to speak openly, outside traditional press. And many are very socially-driven and looking for meaningful ways to drive change.
  • Brands are shifting spend toward purpose-driven storytelling.
  • Audiences are seeking meaning, context, and connection.
